Day Time Support

Rahab offers a listening ear and non-judgmental support (see our Equal Opportunities Policy). During initial keywork sessions, or even in the first stages of supporting someone, we establish that the information we receive will be treated confidentially, unless it poses a threat to themselves or a child (see Child Protection Policy and Confidentiality Policy). We hope that anyone we work with will be able to respond freely to questions, and that when we give advice we must consider whether someone has actually asked for it!

Offering friendship may seem basic, but much of our support is established through friendship and openness. In acting as an advocate for someone, Rahab recognises that we must take time to listen to the full story. Also, as we work in partnership with numerous statutory agencies across Reading, we must listen to them too.

If you would like to ask for our support, or are a service seeking to refer someone you work with, please fill in one of our Self Referral Forms or Service Referral Forms and send it to us (by post or email).
